Keeping a nature journal allows you to record the simple things in nature. In the classroom we’ll create concertina journals to use in the field. At noon, we’ll drive to Abbott’s Mill where we’ll take a break and eat our lunches surrounded by nature. Rosemary will then lead us on a walk through the woods and help you discover the joys of nature journaling. Taking your time, you will record what you see with pen and watercolor and write down your observations and feelings about the natural world that surrounds you. We’ll stop and listen to the sounds of the forest, watch the stream gurgling past and discover the myriad shades of green and variety of plant life that exists right under your nose.
