This one-day workshop is where you can learn a number of techniques about how to take your drawn study, or modified photo reference and transfer them to a painting surface on a wall or canvas–or just better paper–quickly and easily. Doing this allows you to refine and improve your image, rather than figuring it out again from scratch. Techniques will include pounces (for repeated painting elements), grid (which is not really about copying everything in the boxes), projection, use of tracing to refine an image, and more.
Please note: Drawing skills are required. This is an intermediate skills workshop.
Students are encouraged to bring lunch.
