Learning to see a full spectrum of colors gives us an opportunity to create radiant dynamic paintings. We will begin with a few painting exercises exploring the relationship between colors and values; how we perceive them relative to their surroundings, light, time of day, atmosphere and distance. The power of an underpainting will also be discussed, as well as finding the colors in cast shadows and overcast days. Learning to use color effectively to add a radiant glow can move your painting up to the next level!
